The top CBD mistakes commonly made (and a bonus)

AN EDITED ARTICLE ORIGINALLY WRITTEN BY GRF & LG

All of us start somewhere, and that is also the case with CBD.

There are many different ways that we make the change by including CBD in our lifestyle. From friends that use CBD, social media or blog posts, recommendations, threads, ads, freebies, etc.

However the introduction, there are 3 top mistakes that are common to those that are starting out. We’re going over them and also talking about a bonus mistake or two.

Consistency
Just like with dieting or exercise/working out, consistency is always one of the main keys to seeing benefits, goals, and getting those ‘gains!’

CBD is no different.

CBD is a powerful natural compound that needs to be consistently present in your system in order to help balance your body.

One way to combat complacency is to place your CBD gummies or oil in a spot where you won’t be able to miss it.

Putting it on your nightstand or next to your toothbrush as a physical reminder may help. If you know you are headed on a trip, make sure to plan accordingly and have your CBD in with your toiletries or in a relatable compartment.

Getting into the mindset of being consistent with CBD takes some desire and a little bit of discipline, but is completely worth it for your balance and well-being.

Price over Quality: With CBD, You Likely Will Get What You Paid For

One of the ways that people want to ‘enter’ into using CBD is to not spend a lot on it. Basically going about it as if on a trial basis and not as a healthy addition to your lifestyle.

<pGetting a cheap CBD product can be the first and major mistake that leaves a lasting negative perspective towards CBD and cannabinoids as a whole.

We’re not going to pretend that the playing field is level; that all CBD products are the same. Definitely not going to pretend that there aren’t alternative CBD product options out there, that cost less than ours.

But don’t make the mistake of making your CBD selection based on price. Look at the quality of the product and the potency levels that they bring. It isn’t all the same and it isn’t always explained like we do.

premium & high-potency

All of Bobby Rapscallion products are premium high-potency products made with the highest quality possible in the industry. We go in-depth with our Craft and with our Levels, touching on all aspects of why and how we do what we do.

Because of the high standards we maintain for our customers and brand, it can make our products stand out to be a ‘little bit more on the pricier side’ than other brands.

With the price here are a few things to consider.

Here are A few quality points to consider when looking at price
Quantity Made

We make small batches of our products. We don’t mass produce and have hundreds of units sitting on the shelf.

This means each batch is fresh and within its prime date range of use.

Certificate of analysis (COA)

We talk often about COAs and their importance. We have every one of our batches tested at a 3rd-party lab that will generate a lab test to report exactly in our products. Every compound, cannabinoid, as well as the absence of pesticides, metals, and other harmful elements.

This is extremely helpful and informative to you, for your safety & wellbeing.

If you don’t see a COA before you purchase a CBD product…DON’T PURCHASE IT.

Oh and another thing, COAs (and products for that matter) expire, so be on the lookout for that. Several companies and COAs that others have had us look at (to explain to them), still use COAs that are clearly expired, for their current products. That means that either their current products are not being tested, or that is just how old the product is that you’re potentially purchasing. Most COAs expire in a year or two, as do most products that are worth a damn.

You can find the date at the top left or right of the COA.

If the COA for the product has expired…DON’T PURCHASE IT.

potency levels

This is where the rubber meets the road. You really have to read the label. It isn’t fair that a lot of companies will only show the TOTAL amount of CBD in their container, but make you have to hunt for what the amount is in the dose.

Just because it says 3000mg of CBD on a container doesn’t mean you’re getting that in a dose. Also, look at the dosage recommendation. If you’re having to do 4 doses for the amount of a daily dose you need…STOP USING THAT BRAND.

CBD Dosage

Do you know that your body will metabolize CBD differently depending on your lifestyle, food choices, and how you ingest CBD?

If you have recently made changes to your lifestyle, take a second look at your dosing. With CBD, more does not always equal better and we always advise our customers to go slowly.

However, the takeaway here is to be conscious and mindful throughout using CBD. If you are not feeling the effects the same as you used to, try adding more or less and noting how you feel.

Be aware of your body weight and how you’re ingesting your CBD can be a factor. You can see the appropriate dosage in relation to your body by using our calculator on Our Levels page.

If you are eating CBD gummies, then it will take a little time for your body to break those down to get into your system.

If you’re ingesting a CBD oil sublingually (under your tongue), then that enters your system far more quickly than a gummy would. There is very little needed for your body to break down in comparison to a gummy.

BONUS: get The spectrum that works for your lifestyle

Your CBD can come in one of two broad- and full-spectrum

CBD typically comes in two spectrums — broad or full.

In the United States, you can get your CBD product as full-spectrum which means that there will be <0.3% of THC as a component. This isn’t enough to “get you high”, but it can be enough to show up on a drug test/urinalysis.

As an alternative, broad-spectrum CBD products have 0% of THC in them. This would be a far better option for people that need CBD but operate in a profession that practices drug tests.

Often, people will ‘try’ a friend’s CBD. While that is a great and friendly gesture, what your friend is using might not be the potency and/or spectrum that works best for you. So just be mindful of that because the effects of CBD can last 6 hours. If some other component is it, it could last longer than that.

To sum it all up

It is ok. The Start is what really matters.

We all make mistakes, and part of learning comes from what we take away from those mistakes. Here, at Bobby Rapscallion, we like to inform and empower as much as we can. So that you can make the best choice(s) for your wellbeing.

Of course, consistency is a must. The quality of a product is also paramount, because if you’re putting low-quality products in you consistently…you won’t get premium results either. Get a premium brand to be consistent with on a daily basis.

Dosage is a great way to get a good handle on what is going to be best for you. Bobby Rapscallion only produces premium high-potency products, so you know the quality is going to be top of the line, and the potency is going to give the most bang for your buck.

Be sure to look at the Body Weight to MGs Calculator we have for you to find what is going to be the best dosage amount for you. This should give you a good understanding of a minimum that you should maintain, and if you need to increase you’ll know from what MG amount to start.

Remember quality can come with a price, but look for the things we talked about and read the labels. We’ve done thorough research and comparisons with products in our CBD range. We know we’re lower than others and have a higher quality standard in relation to the MGs of total CBD and dosage in all of our products.

Don’t forget the spectrums. If you’re new to CBD, we recommend broad-spectrum gummies and oils. This is sole because this will give you the ability to see how your body responses to CBD alone. From there you can be the judge on whether you want full-spectrum and to add some THC to the mix or not.

OUR SELECT PARTNERS

Bobby Rapscallion’s CBD Products

At Bobby Rapscallion, honesty and integrity are values put into everything. Our hemp is farmed on American soil using organic practices. Our extracts are meticulously tested by our team and a third-party lab to ensure the highest quality standards. Since we stand firmly behind the profound effects of the entourage effect, you won’t find CBD isolate products in our catalog—but we understand that full-spectrum products aren’t ideal for everyone, which is why most of our products are also available in a THC-free broad-spectrum option.

Our high-potency oils start at a Potency Level 1 for those that are wanting to ease into CBD but need a higher dose. Keeping to this focus, we’ll be releasing Potency Levels 2 & 3 in the future. This is to make sure that all of our customers have the option to get high-quality CBD at a potency level that works best for them.

Our CBD Oil

CBD oils are a product staple for a CBD brand. We’ve carefully crafted our CBD oils to keep our high-quality hemp crops the star of the show. CBD oil also provides a wide range of versatility as you can take them sublingual (under the tongue) for fast-acting effects, or mix our flavored options into your favorite foods and drinks for wellness with a unique twist. CBD oils are a favorite for beginners and experts alike for their versatility and because you can customize your doses drop by drop.

our CBD Gummies

For those who don’t enjoy the natural bitter terpene flavor in hemp oils, but still want the whole plant benefits, CBD gummies might be a better solution for you.

We create selectively-crafted gummies at a cGMP facility and make them fresh to order. These also come in assorted flavors to mask the hempy taste and potencies start at 45MG per gummy.

Always remember that the ingestion process is different between oils and edibles like gummies. So we provide products that allow you to decide what works best for you and how you want to experience CBD.
